The Chuckle Club, featuring comedians Michael Legge, Stephen Carlin and Bruce Devlin, is performing a show at the British Club, Um Al Hassam, at 8.30pm and tickets are BD15. The comedians will perform on Friday at The Regency Hotel’s BBQ brunch starting from 12.30pm followed by a show from 5pm to 7pm.

The Royal Country Club’s Family Movie Night takes place weekly in the gardens from 6pm. This week, the movie is Rio 2. All are welcome to attend; entry for non-members is BD5 for adults and BD2.500 for under-14s and includes a soft drink and popcorn. Advanced booking is not necessary.
The Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker, one of the most famous plays of all-time at the Bahrain National Theatre today and Friday. The show is headlined by the talented ballet duo Anastasia Matvienko in the role of the kind-hearted young girl Marie, and Denis Matvienko in the role of her awkward wooden nutcracker doll, whom she can sense hides a secret.

The Royal Golf Club’s fourth restaurant opened its doors to the public this week. The Repartee Lounge, which offers a range of beverages and a light menu with a Far East flavour, is located on the mezzanine floor of the club-house and enjoys stunning views across the 18th hole. It is open from Monday to Saturday from 5pm to midnight and has Happy Hour pricing from 5pm to 8pm daily.
Head down to the Royal Golf Club for its Links Friday Carvery Brunch, which includes a range of starters, live cooking stations, traditional carved meats, desserts and more. Footballing legends Graeme Souness and Gordon Banks will be coming to Bahrain on September 25 at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa. TV pundit and former Scotland international Souness played with Liverpool, Rangers and Sampdoria, winning three European Cups, nine league titles and a plethora of British domestic trophies. Goalkeeper Banks was an instrumental part of England’s 1966 World Cup winning side. The duo will share soccer stories from 8pm.
