Gulf Weekly X marks the spot for new sports activity vehicle

The new BMW X4 has been launched in Bahrain joining the marque’s sports activity vehicle X range comprising the BMW X1, X3, X5, X5 M, X6 and X6 M.

Visually the new BMW X4 has combined impressive sports car performance and Sports Activity Vehicle versatility with the elegance of a coupé, its makers say.

Paul Yates, General Manager, Euro Motors, said: “The BMW X5 and X6 consistently rank as two of the best performing vehicles in Bahrain. With the launch of the  new BMW X4, we will be further diversifying the X range so that we continue to deliver the best in-class vehicles to our customers.  The new X4 features a beautiful design and powerful performance ensuring it will be resoundingly successful in the kingdom.”

From the front, the car is immediately recognisable as a member of the BMW X family. The coupé-like roofline reaches its highest point over the front seats, reflecting the traditional driver focus of BMW cars, before dropping gently down towards the trailing edge of the tailgate.

The interior combines sportiness and exclusivity with high-level functionality, its makers say.

Everyday usability is further enhanced by the standard-fitted automatically opening tailgate. This can be further specified with the Comfort Access Option for extra convenience, which allows it to be opened with a movement of the foot.

The BMW X4 is equipped with BMW ConnectedDrive features that comprise a plethora of Driver Assistance systems.

The BMW X4 will be available with two engines. Topping the range is the BMW X4 xDrive35i with a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol 306bhp engine. In addition, the xDrive28i has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 245bhp Prices start from BD23,995.
