St Christopher’s School will be holding a GCE A-level and IB Diploma evening for families in Bahrain on Monday, November 10.

The school offers a choice of either an AS/A2 Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma programmes and the event will be staged at its Isa Town site starting at 6.30pm.

Organiser Steve Keeble, the senior school’s deputy head, said: “No matter where your child is currently studying for their GCSEs, MYP, or equivalent, consider bringing them to St Christopher’s for their Post-16/Pre-University education.”

The Sixth Form (Y12/13 UK system, Grades 11/12) in US and Bahrain systems aims to reflect the reality of a constantly changing world. “We provide an innovative, creative, supportive and exciting environment where students can begin to shape their future,” added Mr Keeble. “We enable students to make the transition to the more rigorous style of study required to succeed in Post-16 qualifications and, thereafter, at university level.”

“Our highly-experienced, specialist teachers and tutorial system provide subject knowledge and individual support, which enable our students to achieve results above and beyond what they imagined themselves capable of,” said Principal Ed Goodwin.

“The focus is not just on academics: Sixth Form life balances academic skills with the development of a rounded sense of self-confidence and independence.”

St Christopher’s School has been achieving excellence in education for more than 50 years. As a ‘not for profit’ school, all income from fees is used to run and further develop the school, which also has a primary and infants site in Saar, for the benefit of students. It has also been rated ‘outstanding’ in all categories under three different inspection regimes – British Schools Overseas; British Schools in the Middle East and the kingdom’s QAAET.

St Christopher’s students have gone on to study in some of the most prestigious universities around the world including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Harvard, Yale, McGill, MIT and many other Russell Group and Ivy League institutions. “Join us to find out about opening a world of higher education possibilities for your child,” added Mr Goodwin.
