An iPhone 6 frenzy has erupted in the kingdom as operators attempt to meet the demand for the devices with special plans and network deals.
Following a successful registration campaign and a special midnight launch, eager VIVA Bahrain customers have been able to get their hands on Apple’s powerful devices connected to its 4G LTE network.
Rivals Batelco gave priority to customers who booked their devices a week in advance and they received them on October 30, the same day Zain Bahrain made the smartphones available in its shops.
The demand for the products has not surprised industry experts. Andrew Hanna, VIVA’s chief commercial officer, said: “Apple’s latest creations are not only simply bigger, but also better in every single way.”
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been described as the biggest advancements in iPhone history, featuring two new models with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays, and packed with innovative technologies in an all-new dramatically thin and seamless design that is still comfortable to hold and easy to use.
Both models include the Apple-designed A8 chip with second generation 64-bit desktop-class architecture for fast performance and power efficiency, advanced iSight and FaceTime HD cameras and fast wireless technologies.
