Gulf Weekly Write to the editors

We were proud to be the organisers of the 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Week and position Bahrain as one among the 150 countries celebrating this global event.

At Tenmou, our strategic objective is to inspire, support and nurture budding entrepreneurs and events such as GEW provide an excellent platform to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting with potential collaborators, mentors and even investors.

We are grateful to all our strategic partners for extending their support to bolster the next generation of enterprising talent to help them pursue their dreams and further strengthen Bahrain’s entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Throughout GEW a series of events took place which included workshops and mentorship sessions which helped participants learn a step-by-step process on how to set up successful businesses.

This year, more than 100 budding entrepreneurs signed up for the sessions. The partners or these events included Tamkeen, KPMG Fakhro, 4spots, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, Bahrain Polytechnic and Bahrain Women’s Society.

Sami Jalal,
Chairman of Tenmou.

* Editor’s note: Tenmou, in strategic partnership with the Economic Development Board, kickstarted the celebrations of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014 at a networking dinner reception at the Awal Ballroom, Gulf Hotel.

As much as I’ve been a fan of McLaren, by not announcing their drivers for 2015 until after the final race of the season was so wrong. If Jenson Button is to be shown the door, he deserved the chance to savour his last F1 race and receive all the praise that goes with it from the fans and paddock.

Well done Lewis Hamilton, roll on next season Nico Rosberg and congratulations to Team Williams, nice use of the sponsor’s colours.

It could be more like TV’s X Factor to see who will be racing next season.

Graham Jelfs, by email.
