THE Geant Hypermarket at Bahrain Mall is hosting a Food Festival until Tuesday with a range of popular fare from around the globe at special prices.

Popular fruits from the US have winged their way into Bahrain including white seedless grapes at BD1.990 per kg and the red variety at BD1.790 with jumbo juicy red apples at BD1.190 and green apples at BD1.290.
“Most of these products are new to Bahrain, are of high quality and competitively priced,” a store spokesman said.
Raspberries, blackberries and blueberries are being snatched up from the shelves at BD2.490 a pack, ideal for pie fillings or a tasty treat with cream.
And anyone planning a BBQ this weekend should check out the marvellous meat offerings which include New Zealand Beef Ribeye Steak at BD8.290 per kg and Australian Beef Topside at BD3.590 per kg.
One of the biggest draws are the bags of French spuds, with Amandine, Turbo and Agata varieties of potatoes available at under one dinar for a 1.5kg bag.
Happy shoppers can continue snapping up raffle coupons until January 6 and the prize draw will be held five days later.
