Easing the life of people with special needs

SHOPPERS can support an inspirational initiative championed by one of Bahrain’s leading retail groups. As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, Al Rashid Group (ARG) has adopted the cause of the Bahrain Deaf Society.

Throughout the year, the team at ARG will organise activities to support the society in an effort to facilitate and ease the life of people with special needs in the kingdom.

Alongside placing donation boxes in all its 66 shops throughout the country, a helping hand was given to the charitable organisation as it settled into its new premises in Budaiya. Laptops and pieces of furniture were presented to Mahdi Al Noaimi, chairman of the Bahrain Deaf Society.

Members of the society were also invited for a children’s fun day out organised in Fun City, Oasis Muharraq.

Vikas Attri, ARG’s chief operating officer, said: “I genuinely believe in giving back to the society we operate in, and personally strive to ensure that Al Rashid Group acts as a good corporate citizen.”
