THE Royal Golf Club is relaunching the Captains’ Charity Bunker scheme. The charity bunkers are located to the left of the 18th green on the Championship Course and in front of the green on hole 9 of the Mini Monty.
If a ball lands in one of these bunkers the player should complete and submit a voucher in the box located at the locker room reception along with a donation of at least BD1. Players will be entered into a quarterly draw for the chance to win a Titleist Vokey Wedge.
The club is currently working on signage for the bunkers as well as an extra charity box to be located in the academy for ease of donations for players on the Mini Monty course.
Remember it’s all for a worthy cause. Captain Badea Esbai’s chosen charity is Bahrain Down Syndrome Society.
