The Editor is checking out the latest ‘super food’ which his Bahraini friends highly recommend. Officially called nigella sativa (AKA Black Seed) it has been labelled as ‘the remedy for everything but death’.
Advocates claim it has potentially life-saving qualities and it attracted more than 225,000 social media shares when featured on one website.
It opened with the sentence: “This humble, but immensely powerful seed, kills MRSA, heals the chemical weapons-poisoned body, stimulates regeneration of the dying beta cells within the diabetic’s pancreas, and yet too few even know it exists.”
The Whisperer spotted this Indian product, packed by the Bahrain Herbs Factory, on the shelves of a health food store on Exhibtions Avenue, priced 500fils for 200g and sold loose in supermarkets.
Seems like worthy of a sprinkle on the morning muesli.
