The Whisperer

Enticed to a supermarket having spotted a ‘one day only’ offer on a flyer, it was perhaps of little surprise for the Whisperer’s friend to be told by a snotty sales assistant that all the specials had been snapped up by the time he arrived.

As he looked around for an alternative electrical item, he spotted the nearby cupboard being restocked and sure enough to the side was a pile of boxes containing the particular tablet he had driven all the way to purchase.

So, what’s the game? Only sell a few and keep the rest for tomorrow to sell at the regular price?

The Whisperer’s friend is normally a reasonable chap but hates being lied to or feeling ripped off. He insisted on being sold the item and was handed one. He had originally hoped to purchase two, and although the flyer did not state ‘one per customer’ the Whisperer reckons he was lucky to get one, although the whole situation stinks and lets down the genuine retailers who play fair with their customers.
