Cut out the meal drink

It seems second nature to people to drink something with their meal be it water or juice or any other drink. But what many people don’t know is that drinking during the meal dilutes the digestive juices and makes the meal more difficult to digest.

As a result, you end up with bloating and gas after a meal and a feeling of indigestion.

So here’s what you need to do. Drink either ten minutes before the meal or half an hour after the meal in order to keep the fluids separate from the food. This way, when the stomach acid and digestive enzymes are secreted to digest the meal, they won’t be diluted by your drinks.

Get into the habit of separating your drinks from your food and see the difference it will have on your digestive system.
