One telecom customer recently turned his costly competition text woes into a win! Earlier in the holy month, he had entered a Ramadan raffle by answering a text trivia and clocking up almost BD200 in charges. The unhappy customer had no clue he was racking up a big bill during his trivia quest as there was no mention of cost on any text and he had a bundle of free messages to use as part of his package.

When he did learn about the astronomical bill that he accumulated, he halted the texts and contacted the provider, pledging that he would rectify it for future customers as well.

After speaking to the provider, he decided it was best to contact the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA). The TRA acted swiftly to sort out the issue. Not only has his fee been waived, but now no customer will ever have to face these charge concerns again. One voice can help the masses.
