A ‘Taste’ exhibition will be on display at Malja, Amwaj Islands, until Sunday. It features a collection of experiments by a group of artists in an effort to synthesise through art.

Unified under the notion of ‘identity’, each artist chose to transform an object into another sense other than the obvious sense perceived from it. The aim is to push boundaries of imagination and to allow brains to wander and experiment without expectations.

The Bahrain National Museum is holding an interactive exhibition using stories from the famous collection of fables, Kalila wa Dimna, bringing to life the characters, their relationships and lessons. The event will run until September 30.

Tuesday (September 1)
Auditions are being held for a pantomime performance of Robin Hood and His Merry Men today and September 5. Today’s auditions are for adults and will take place from 7.30pm in the British Club of Bahrain’s Gallery Bar in Um Al Hassam. The September 5 auditions are for kids and will also feature an extra drama workshop. This will take place from 3.30pm-5pm in the Windsor Room.

A wide variety of parts are open, even to those who have never acted before, and the team are also looking for volunteers to join the backstage crew.

Gulf Industry Fair 2016 (GIF) will be unveiling a series of events and initiatives to further enhance its reputation for showcasing and championing economic diversification and industrialisation across the GCC.

The 2016 annual industrial event is scheduled to take place from February 9-11, 2016.

GIF aims to provide a unique ‘one-stop shop’ approach for the elements of industrial development across the aluminium, energy and environmental protection, industrial metals, industrial processes and manufacturing, logistics and industrial facilities, industrial security and safety, ports and maritime industries, as well as training for industry.
