The next meeting of the Bahrain Writers’ Circle will be held on September 14 at Coral Bay from 7.30pm. Furthermore, a creative workshop will be held at the same venue at 7.30pm on September 21.

Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay will host an ‘Azure Pool Party’ at its adults-only pool on September 17 from 9pm-2am. There will be music from DJ Ioanna Laiou of Greece and the event will cost BD20 inclusive of two selected beverages and snacks. The Dilmun Club, Saar, will host Irish-Iranian comedian Pat Monahan for his ‘Adventures In Monahanland’ show on September 17 at 8pm. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR), an annual motorcycle fundraising event to raise awareness for prostate cancer, will take place in Bahrain for the first time on September 26. The event is being supported by the International Hospital of Bahrain, and will feature men dressed in smart suits riding classic-styled motorbikes.

Registration is required. Visit www.distinguishedgentleman.com for more information. The IGN Convention Bahrain will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir from October 2-3. Special guest will be wrestling Hall of Famer Booker T and other personalities from the world of gaming.

Tickets cost BD8 for a one day pass, and BD12 for a two day pass on the door. VIP tickets are BD50.

An evening of entertainment with football stars Robbie Fowler and Lee Sharpe will take place at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa on September 18 from 7.30pm. The evening will feature speeches from the two with plenty of on-stage banter, plus a gourmet dinner, a prize raffle and a sports memorabilia auction.
