We recently started off the new show season with a bang at The BDF Equestrian Centre located in Sakhir in an event sponsored by the BREEF Show Jumping Committee.
There was excitement in the air as the competitors unloaded their horses. It was amazing to see all the new horses and new competitors geared up for the season ahead.
The warm weather didn’t seem to bother horse, nor competitor, as we first witnessed both jump with ease and grace in the warm-up arena.
The spectators took to their seats and watched with anticipation as the riders prepared their horses for the opening class.
In the first class, which was a height of 85-95cm, Yahya Ahmed, on his new horse I Trust You, had a smoking fast round to go home with the winner’s trophy.
Close on his heels was Hussain Dadullah on Dilmun Arko with a beautiful steady round. Third place went to veteran Ahmed Mansoor on his lovely horse, BDF Edward Du Sud.
In the second class, Mansoor was victorious on his mount. Quickly behind him was a brilliant round by Ahmed Al Jahromi on his stunning new mare, Evalyn. Dadulla on the handsome stallion, Arko, had a wonderful clear and steady round to secure third.
It was a beautiful day and an amazing event. Everyone is invited to the next show.
