Of course I know that you know that vitamin C is good for health. And I also know that you know that it’s important for immunity and illness. But did you know that it’s best to take buffered vitamin C rather than the regular kind?

Buffered vitamin C has magnesium added to it in order to make it milder on the stomach so it won’t cause heartburn and digestive problems in susceptible people.

So when you next buy vitamin C, please skip the effervescent coloured flavoured types, and opt instead for a good quality buffered vitamin C, which is also referred to as magnesium ascorbate. It is usually sold in powder form.

The human body does not produce vitamin C on its own, so we need to top up our vitamin C supply on a daily basis.

You can get vitamin C from fruits and vegetables; but also from good-quality supplements that will help keep you in top shape.
