KLM’s new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner recently arrived at Bahrain International Airport after its inaugural flight from Amsterdam to Abu Dhabi.
The new, state-of-the-art airliner will operate between Bahrain and Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport with seven flights per week, connecting its 294 passengers into KLM’s global network of destinations.
The KLM daily flight arrives in Bahrain via Abu Dhabi from Amsterdam, connecting the two Gulf capitals and linking them both into the KLM global network via Schiphol Airport. KLM’s new, state-of-the-art Dreamliner offers unprecedented levels of comfort in air travel and a new in-flight experience for passengers.
The Whisperer’s British friends, who use the service for connecting flights to regional airports in the UK, are delighted with the investment but would truly like to see direct flights from the Netherlands to and from Bahrain reintroduced as soon as possible.
Now THAT would be progress and far better than sitting stuck for an hour on the runway in Abu Dhabi, often uncomfortably baking during the summer as the air-conditioning is switched off as the aircraft is refuelled and a swarm of cleaners remove rubbish around them and clean the toilets.
