This year’s Spring of Culture is breaking ground by bringing to stage a home-grown children’s theatre production, Chaos In The Town!

The 50-minute comedy/adventure for children aged two-12 has been written and directed by Bahraini duo Kanwal Hameed and Ruqaya Aamer, based on stories by Lebanese author Fatima Sharafeddine.

They run Speech and Dramatic Arts in association with St Christopher’s School. The Arabic language production features a Bahrain-based cast and crew. The production debuts on Friday, April 8.

The 17th Bahrain International Book Fair will run until Sunday at the Bahrain National Museum.

Acclaimed Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela will host an acoustic performance at Arad Fort on Thursday at 8.30pm.

British circus theatre company Pirates of the Carabina will stage its Flown show, featuring acrobats, aerialists, stunts and musicians at Arad Fort from April 7-9, with shows starting at 7.30pm.

Al Hawaj is offering deals aplenty in its Shopping Bazaar, which runs until Saturday in Hall 2A of the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sanabis. The bazaar is open from 9.30am-1.30pm, and from 4pm-10pm.

A Hidden Pictures Challenge will be held at the KP Centre in Sehla during the first four weekends of April, from 7pm-8pm on Fridays and 11am to noon on Saturdays. The event is aimed at testing observation, concentration and participation skills in young learners.

Prizes are on offer for those who find the most hidden objects in the shortest time, while every registered person will receive a complimentary Hidden Pictures magazine as well as a concession voucher to shop at Kingdom Pride.
