Calvin Klein launched its summer 2016 collection at the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay Hotel’s Ventus Lounge, hosting fashionistas, media representatives and VIP guests for a sneak preview of its ‘Life in the Now’-- #CKMINUTE global campaign.
When I think of this brand I envision a two-tone scene of men or women lounging around in athletic boxer shorts and wearing unisex cologne. This is as androgynous as you can get and its watch and jewellery collection is synonymous with this image. Modern, minimal and precise shapes are clear that can be worn by either sex.
Even though the collection stuck to its ‘norm-core’ image there are subtle changes to cater for all tastes.
The Calvin Klein ‘Colour’ has an urban, sporty aesthetic with a celebration of the recent 1990s revival by pairing minimalistic shapes and vibrant colours for a bold athletic statement.
The ‘Snake’ offers structured geometric angles, clear cuts and symmetrical patterns. It combines a high-shine metallic effect with origami-like shapes in stainless steel with a yellow or pink gold PVD bracelet.
With the 1970s styles in full swing in the market too, the ‘Retro’ collection attracts those who like a vintage watch that oozes confidence and gives an image of control. This polished and brushed stainless steel timepiece asserts a masterful presence on the wrist.
