Celebrity handbag designer brand Analeena will be making its GCC debut at the much-anticipated My Wedding Party event in Bahrain in March 2017.
Analeena, translates from Arabic as ‘I am Lina’ after its lead designer and brand founder Lina Hamed.
The collection is currently exclusively stocked in Harrods, the MC Market in Monaco and Paparazzi Boutique in Azerbaijan
The signature multi-hued exotic-skin collection is described as a ‘work of art’ by fashionitas, executed with the use of the finest cured exotic skins in a unique blend of colours and created by the ‘best’ of Italian craftsmanship, with some handbags retailing for more than BD4,000.
Lina Hamed, a fashion graduate from the University of Westminster, started her career as a buyer for Hermes in Paris as well as nurturing her talents by co-designing exotic-skinned saddles for the high-end brand, she also worked as an assistant designer to Stephen Rolland at Jean Louis Scherrer before launching her own line of luxury handbags, ball gowns and accessories in 2008.
“I look forward to exhibiting at My Wedding Party and meeting with our existing clients in the region and to showcase some of the latest collection that recently debuted in Paris,” she said.
The dazzling designer recently revealed more about herself in an interview with C’est Ma Vie magazine.
“I design and create luxury. I grew up in London and Paris, and I am originally Middle Eastern,” she said.
“I always knew, ever since I was a child I was making dresses for my dolls. I often cut my mother’s dresses to get fabric, which landed me in a lot of trouble.
“I was always called the ‘bag lady’ by my family and friends because I had so many bags. But I do remember one particular bag that I owned and loved, it was a Prada baby pink with a perspex handle. After I bought it, I carried it all the time as if it was my only bag; I love colour and always bought distinctive colours!”
Nowadays her own brand is the one to be seen with. Analeena has positioned itself as one of the world’s ultimate fashion accessories for luxury, quality, design and innovation.
Analeena handbags and ball gowns have been worn by A-List celebrities, members of royalty and leading political figures all around the world.
A-List celebrities include Jerry Hall, Liz Hurley, Olivia Palermo, Dita Von Tesse, Jennifer Lopez and Blake Lively.
However, discretion does not allow Analeena to publicise its exclusive circle of customers unless they publicly declare themselves. Analeena’s collection can also be seen frequently used by characters in the highly-acclaimed American TV drama Gossip Girl.
“My Wedding Party provides a sneak peek into Analeena’s 2018 collection. Analeena is known to many of the GCC visitors to London during their shopping trips to Harrods, said delighted Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of the organisers HCE, who are organising the show in Bahrain.
“We’re hoping that designer Lina Hamed’s presence at the show will also inspire the younger generation of Bahraini talent to reach for the stars.”
My Wedding Party will also be supporting Bahrain Tourism’s drive in promoting the island as a wedding destination, as reported in GulfWeekly, by highlighting the products and services available in the region and Bahrain.
“It will enhance Bahrain’s claims to be a holistic venue to arrange wedding s,” said exhibition director Ahmed Suleiman.
My Wedding Party will be labelled the GCC’s ‘one-stop shop’ and a four-day fashion extravaganza focusing on the wedding sector. It will take place from the March 15–18 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
