One of India’s leading film companies, Mukta A2 Cinemas, has taken its first step outside of the subcontinent by launching a six-screen luxury multiplex in Juffair Mall.
The new development has a total seating capacity of 960 film-goers and will feature the latest releases from Hollywood, Arabia and Bollywood, with a heavy focus on the latter to appeal to the film fanatics amongst the expat community.
Each screen is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including Dolby Atmos and Quantum Logic 3D surround sound systems, Light Tripler polarisation 3D technology and modern projection systems.
The cinema also offers several seating options such as VIP recliners, sofas and rocker seats, in addition to a variety of gourmet food and beverage options, providing patrons with service-on-seat facilities for a more personalised experience.
Mukta A2 Cinemas is the sixth-largest cinema chain in India with 49 screens, and another 100 planned in an expansion drive with the possibility of two more opening in the kingdom.
Chairman of parent company Mukta Arts, Subhash Ghai, said: “It is with huge pride that Mukta A2 Cinemas has opened its first property outside India in Bahrain. We are one of the first Indian exhibitors to design, conceptualise and build a theatre in a foreign country and it is a testament to the entire team and their hard work.
