The duo of Sanjay Lal and Anil Nair won the Monday Night Lights competition at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 30.875. Ahmed Sultan and playing partner Nasser Yaqoob clinched second place with 31.25 nett and George Moore and Alistair Rushton came third with 31.625 nett.
More than 30 golfers competed in the pairs scramble tournament which was played under floodlights on the back 9 holes of the Montgomerie championship course. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the club’s Members’ Lounge.
The Monday Night Lights 9 hole competitions are open to club members and to non-members with an official handicap at a cost of BD per night green fee plus a BD2 entry fee. The competitions tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start. Non-handicap golfers are also welcome to play and can use their scores to work towards achieving an official handicap.
