It has been an exciting year for Huawei’s number one smartphone series, Honor, and is looking to be an even brighter one for 2017.
The budget-friendly brand kicked off the New Year by surprising phone geeks around the world at the CES electronics and technology tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a new device and it’s only just the beginning.
Chris Sun Baigong, vice president Huawei Honor Middle East CBG 2017 said: “2017 is going to be an exciting year for Honor. We are looking at breaking norms and showing our users that premium quality is now within their reach. In the Middle East, we see great potential for our brand and we are looking forward to bringing more smartphones to the region that meet and exceed users’ expectations.”
The brand ended 2016 on a high note, celebrating its three-year anniversary in December with the launch of Honor Magic and a few other award-winning devices. It’s street smart Honor 5X scooped seven accolades including ‘Top Pick for CES 2016’ by tech website Android Central and was featured in the Top 10 smartphones that ‘stole the show’ by CRN.com.
The global online sales bonanza, Honor World Carnival, was brought for the first time to the Middle east and in three days achieved 100 per cent increase in online sales. The launch of Honor 8 also broke records, registering a 100 per cent increase in sales at GITEX, the very popular digital and technology event hosted in Dubai.
The Honor 8 phone, which is available in black, gold, white and sapphire blue, gained recognition for its aesthetic appeal, its 12 MP dual camera with one RGB and one monochrome sensor and its Smart Key function.
This function allows users to access Instagram with a single click and double-click for Twitter, all at a great price of BD164. The brand already spans across 74 different countries and regions.
