Bahrain’s construction sector received a timely boost as Motorcity unveiled the new Hino 500 Series trucks at a launch event staged at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre.
The 500 Series incorporates the next generation of HINO technology, with an increase in manufacturing precision and overall product quality in line with the marque’s development concept of ‘quality, durability and reliability.’
The latest models in the marque’s range are enhanced with higher gross vehicle weight (26 tonnes), stronger front axle capacities (7,500kg), a longer chassis (up to 7.4m), 6x4 chassis configurations, 40T GCM 4x2 tractor units, specially-designed off-road cabins, and full air brakes with ABS. Finally, the engines have been upgraded to Euro 3 spec, with higher horsepower and torque.
Safety and comfort has been a major aspect of the design process, and so with that comes a semi-floating cab and air suspension driver’s seats with increased slide range to ensure smoother and fatigue-free driving, even off road.
Motorcity senior general manager, Dr Bijan Majidi, was delighted to unveil the latest trucks on Sunday evening. He said: “Hino’s upgraded structure, featuring longer cargo space and improved payload and capacity, boosts its ability to tackle the different logistical needs of our customers.
“Also, with our newly-expanded service facilities in Ma’meer, our trained service team is able to provide our customers with insightful knowledge of HINO technology and technical information to make their journey as efficient as possible.”
Senior executives from several major companies were in the audience for the launch event, including those from the Alwardi Group, the biggest transport and plant-hire company in Bahrain.
