BRIDES, grooms and their families will be converging on a popular wedding fair this coming weekend to pick up the hottest tips on fashion, hair, make-up and accessories to ensure their big day is a special occasion to remember.
Following the success of last year’s event, the Intercontinental Wedding Fair is set to attract hundreds of sweethearts from across the region as designers and planners gather under one roof to offer their expertise and advice.
Intercontinental Regency Bahrain has linked up with Hamm Company to put on the show which promises to be one of the largest fairs of its kind ever staged in the kingdom.
The three-day festival will open on Friday and continue until Sunday at the hotel’s elegant Riffa Ballroom. “Bahrain is the capital of fashion and elegance which is why it’s the perfect location to have the wedding fair,” a spokesman for the organisers said.
“The fair will act as a one-stop-shop that gathers different talents and designers in fashion and beauty with the presence of experts from Dubai, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.”
It is believed the event will attract a number of stars and celebrities, as well as numerous ambassadors representing countries involved in producing wedding essentials.
According to Mai Al Khatib-Camille, GulfWeekly’s fashion editor, Bahrain’s favourite piece of jewellery, the pearl, is particularly back in vogue as a wedding dress accessory.
“Spring 2018 wedding dresses are here and they’re amazing!” she said. “Those that came down the Bridal Fashion Week runways included everything from superhero capes to boomerang-ready fringes and updates on off-the-shoulder and lace designs.”
Top designers and beauticians will also be highlighting the latest make-up, hair styles, floral arrangements, cakes and decorations and the organisers aim to make dreams come true with special offers, including a booking deal.
The free to enter festival of wedding wonders will be open from 5pm to 11pm throughout the event and anyone booking a hall during the exhibition will receive a 15 per cent discount.
