One of the kingdom’s most popular shopping destinations has decorated its ceilings and walls with jingle bells and twinkling lights to help shoppers get into the festive spirit while snapping up great deals and gifts for their loved ones.

City Centre Bahrain has transformed its Central Galleria into a white, winter wonderland with its hanging curtains of light and chandeliers and its animated snowmen display as part of its seasonal campaign.

Duaij Al Rumaihi, City Centre Bahrain’s senior mall manager, said: “City Centre Bahrain is thrilled to bring back its Winter Festive campaign, which promises to create great moments and to offer long-lasting memories to be shared with loved ones, thanks to the mall’s festive programme packed with family entertainment, festive collectables and exciting prizes.”

During the launch of the icy exhibit, members of the media and families were treated to shots of hot chocolate and given a sneak peak of the roaming character display that was going to captivate shoppers over the weekend.

Children shrieked in delight as giant snowmen danced around and cheered when white fairies on skates zipped around the display.

Mum Amira Nehdi, 33, was thrilled to see her daughters Enas, two, and Aya, an eight-year-old student at Al Noor School, dancing with the snowmen and posing for pictures with the fairies.

Amira said: “City Centre Bahrain always has something fun for the children and that’s why I come to the mall a lot. My daughters love the shows and activities that they stage and I enjoy the shopping. There is everything you need here and they make sure that we always feel welcome no matter what holiday or event. Aya loves the snowmen.”

Aside from the roaming parade, the mall is offering families and friends some frosty fun with an array of merry activities and prizes to be won until January 16, 2018.

Lucky shoppers who spend BD40 or more can enter a draw for a chance to win BD5,000 in mall gift cards. Whilst redeeming receipts of BD40 or more, customers will also automatically receive a limited-edition winter-themed snow globe. The snow globe festive collectables will be available throughout the winter season in various designs.

Also to mark the spirit of giving, the shopping destination is featuring its Cookie for a Cause fundraiser in partnership with The Westin Hotel, City Centre Bahrain with all proceeds going to Child’s Wish Society.

Visitors of all ages are invited to purchase, decorate, personalise and hang their cookies at the Central Galleria, to create the longest trail of gingerbread cookies seen yet, in January 11 and 12, 2018.
