Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled its new flouncy, flirty and fabulous 2018 Spring Summer collection at a glitzy show at City Centre Bahrain and after-party at the adjoining Westin hotel’s pool.
The luxury retailer, which stocks a variety of styles from different designers, staged the catwalk event last week to highlight the latest trends.
The show was themed Tropical Fever and boasted a white and green jungle printed runway for the models to showcase the designs.
Visitors including VIPS, store management, shoppers and members of the press. On show were off-the shoulder mini-dresses and monogramed dresses, feathered and sequined embroidered outfits and sleek slacks and billowy blouses. The evening gowns featured mermaid and princess cuts.
The menswear was elegant and casual with versatile items that can be mixed and matched to take a day look to night with a shift of a sweater or jacket.
The designer labels on display for women included Balenciaga, Chloe, Saint Laurent Paris, Lanvin, Emilio Pucci, Moschino, Stella McCartney, Manish Arora, Self Portrait and Ingie Paris. The men adorned looks from Saint Laurent Paris, Stella McCartney, Christian Dior, Philipp Plein, Kenzo, Juun J, Ami and Z Zegna. All of the models were wearing Christian Louboutin shoes.
