Payment International Enterprise (PIE) has announced a partnership with the largest online food ordering platform in the Middle East, Talabat.
Through its ‘TAM Here’ self-service payment kiosks located across Bahrain, PIE has developed a service allowing Talabat drivers to deposit the cash they collect from deliveries.
The newly-added service will make the cash collection process more efficient for Talabat and help optimise their operations for more traceable cash deposits. This strategy will ultimately lead to a more measurable and seamless experience, the companies say.
PIE’s CEO Fawaz Ghazal said: “We’re very excited to have Talabat on board with us. Our objective is to empower the market players with FinTech solutions that will allow them to optimise their daily operations.”
Bahrain is en route to becoming a digital and innovation-driven economy and FinTech players such as PIE are considered one of the main catalysts. This latest partnership is part of the company’s focus on fostering technological innovation and allowing its digital services to be easily accessible, giving regional businesses a competitive edge.
Hesham Al Saati, Talabat’s MD, added: “Our partnership with PIE helps strengthen Talabat’s continuous pursuit of being at the forefront of food delivery technology. We strive to make the process of ordering and delivering food online seamless and secure for our partners and drivers. This, in turn, contributes to providing our customers the best possible food delivery experience.”
PIE has been investing heavily in infrastructure development, making high-value commitments to the future and striving to provide its customers with end-to-end services as a single provider.
One of the company’s major projects in 2016 was the launch of eGov kiosks and TAM-Dinar project for government institutions in Bahrain to facilitate payments for government services. This successful project is one of many strategies PIE is undertaking to lead the way in moving towards a cashless society and innovating alternative payment options for a modern world.
