The second edition of the Bahrain Jazz Fest is set to take place on the grounds of the Royal Golf Club on October 26. The open-air music festival will feature international and local jazz artists and musicians, and is expected to attract more than 5,000 fans.
The festival will feature nine award-winning acts from around the world including Ana Popovic (US), Indian Ocean (India), Swing Ninjas, Cut Capers (UK), The Kiffness (South Africa) as well as influential Bahraini bands Likwid, Ala Ghawas and the Havaneros.
There will also be a number of jazz workshops and local music events at various venues in September and October leading up to the open-air festival.
The event is open to all ages and will take place from 11am-11pm. In addition, there will be family activities organised. The festival will also feature a second community stage that will profile up-and-coming locally-based bands.
The festival tickets are priced at BD20 for adults and BD10 for juniors, with free admission for children aged six and under. A discounted early bird promotion ends on Monday.
