Kenzo’s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, who are known for their playful takes on fashion, have centred the Parisian labels holiday collection on perfect pieces to get everyone into the festive swing.
The new line, which is building on key items from its autumn 2018 collection, features casual and formal apparel that can be taken from day to night with a switch of a sweater or an addition of an accessory.
The women’s collection is founded on winter fabric favourites including velvet, mohair, and wool, keeping ladies feeling cosy all day long, as well as helping them dance the night away in style.
The festive line features a range of beautifully ruched dresses, skirts and tops in jewel tones of bordeaux or blue matched with flared pants in a wool mohair. Fashionistas can opt for a black puffa jacket in shiny nylon for those really chilly nights worn over dresses and skirts.
Knitted jumpers are quite popular during the winter month and are even more delightful with a double tiger jacquard, dragon or tiger embroidery with beaded or shiny yarns.
Accessories are full of surprises with the newly introduced baby Kalifornia coming in two colour ways of burgundy or navy velvet with metallic leather trims. The Kyoto line, declined in a top handle and a belt bag with chain appears with similar details. The unisex tiger backpacks and small leather goods come in satin with glitter tiger accents or are glow-in-the- dark.
The designers propose to complement these holiday looks with Daria boots in navy gommato leather or wearing the unisex sonic sneaker in a tiger mesh with metalised rubber. Kenzo is located in City Centre Bahrain.
