World-renowned producer, songwriter, DJ and music marvel Kygo will play on the Saturday of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2019.

He has the honour of being the fastest artist ever to reach a billion streams on Spotify and has already amassed 25 global chart hits in just three years and will attract thousands of young music lovers and race fans to the concert on March 30, and Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) officials are delighted to have secured his signature.

BIC chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said: “The addition of global megastar Kygo for F1 this year, without a doubt, means we have our most incredible concert line-up ever. The addition of Kygo will add to the excitement and anticipation.

“With the most popular tickets already selling quickly, we would urge fans to get booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment for what will undoubtedly be an amazing weekend of racing and entertainment.”

Kygo shot to fame in 2015, having been crowned Breakout Artist that year, with global hits including Firestone (feat. Conrad Sewell) and Stole The Show (feat. Parson James), which was certified gold or platinum in 16 countries.

His first album, Cloud Nine, debuted at No 1 on the iTunes Dance Albums Chart, receiving global acclaim from critics, with Rolling Stone calling it ‘unfailingly gorgeous’. In 2017, Kygo landed on the cover of Billboard magazine, reflecting his colossal success. His single It Ain’t Me with Selena Gomez reached Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has amassed around 608 million Spotify streams to date.

In September of last year, he released his Stargazing EP, which included new tracks Stargazing, This Town and a collaboration with U2 entitled You’re The Best Thing About Me, rounded out with It Ain’t Me and First Time.

His latest album, Kids in Love, debuted at No 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
