The Wyndham Garden Manama, Juffair’s Indian restaurant, Jashan, will be continuing to dish out flavourful authentic Punjabi cuisine until Saturday.

The Shaan-e-Punjab event, which roughly translates to ‘Proud to be a Punjab’, highlights tasty bites and delights from the northern Indian state for lunch, from noon until 3pm, and for dinner, from 7pm until 11.45pm.

Punjabi food is known for its variety with meaty marvels including Butter Chicken, Bhuna Gosht, Tandoori Chicken and Amritsari Machchi, as well as vegetarian fare such as Chole Bhature and Dal Makhni. Punjab is also considered home to traditional tandoori feasts.

Diners can enjoy a special set menu of starters, mains and desserts featuring delicacies such as Bhatti Da Murgh, which is marinated morsels of chicken cooked in a clay oven and flavoured with grounded spices, and Sarson ka Saag cooked traditionally with a blend of mustard, spinach and fenugreek leaves.

The lunch and dinner, priced at BD8++, also includes unlimited soft drinks and music from the restaurant’s resident act, The Ghazal Band.

Those booking a table will also get a chance to win a return ticket on Jet Airways.
