Lebanese-French designer Ingie Chalhoub is back celebrating the holy month and festive Eid Al-Fitr with a classic, yet contemporary, take on the cool Kaftan, inspired by late fashion icon Jackie Kennedy and the effortless styles and shapes reminiscent of the 1970s.
The Ingie Paris collection is both modern and modest and will work for those spending time with their families and friends … and even for jetting away on Eid vacation.
The line is bright and graceful comprising of seven limited edition kaftans featuring pink and coral crepe silhouettes, blue and yellow light cady and artful floral creations. The 70s inspiration is implemented with high waist belts and sleeves that fall away from the figure in perfect pleats.
Women can also customise their clothing with selected predesigned pearl and Swarovski crystal butterfly embellishments to ensure that no two looks are the same and add a simple yet distinguishable element of class and charm.
The brand’s designs are often recognised for the quality of their fabrics, their embroidery and their attention to detail, whether in satin, jacquard, or with ‘haute couture’ silk finishes.
This designer came to prominence last Ramadan with her capsule collection which captivated the fashion world with shimmery silhouettes, combining ornate woven lamé and rich damassé fabrics.
She is also a style icon in her own right having founded The Etoile Group in the Middle East and has been ranked Number 69 in the Forbes 100 Most Powerful Arab Women List.
