Women are this week continuing to flock to stores to snap up conservative yet contemporary attire, ready to wear comfortably with class during the holy month.

Saudi Arabian label Leem’s Ramadan Capsule Collection features bold and bright block colours combined with painterly stripes and geometric prints, all of which are translated onto simple yet stylish silhouettes that help define the coming month.

The brand also pays homage to family and sisterhood by creating a series of designs for both mum and daughter to enjoy.

Its designers have merged authentic Middle Eastern styles with modern cuts to produce elegant full-length dresses and languid, as well as free-flowing, kaftan ensembles.

Shirt dresses have been transformed using knife pleats, beautiful bows and gathered fabric, adding an air of femininity to the otherwise simple form.

The classic Arabian Najdi design has been revamped using avant-garde techniques, such as the addition of buttons to the front or back, subtly amplifying the detailing. A-line and trapeze hems are featured heavily on both short and long-sleeved trims and they are suitable for all body types. Bursts of graphic patterns, including eye-catching textured Aztec motifs, expertly etched onto the cloth also deliver a subtle statement. Contrasting tones make an appearance on straight lined, fluid models as well as raw edges, which outline the necklines and cuffs to enrich some of the more romantic garments.

Pearls and other jewels are artfully embroidered onto specific constructs to offer stately accents to the collection.

The seasonal palette is hedged on a selection of vibrant reds, oranges and blush, rosy pink tones, combined with blues, greens and other colourful spatters, to help bolster the feminine qualities of the gowns.

The evolution of the kaftan characteristics continues with the introduction of the cocoon-shaped dress which is a long, oversized structure, featuring lightly-woven material and a high, wide rounded neckline, specially made for the ‘mommy and me’ range.

The label goes on to complement the shape of the pieces with built-in belts that exaggerate the profile.
