Sportscar and supercar manufacturer McLaren reunited every model of its sports and super line-up at its headquarters for their employees, friends and family open day.

The elite group, which boasted more than 25 cars estimated to be worth more than BD23.7million, included legendary models such as the P1 GTR, the track version of the world’s first hybrid hypercar, the new McLaren Speedtail, the iconic 12C ‘job 1’.

Mike Flewitt, McLaren’s CEO, said: “Seeing our famous line-up of cars assembled here for the first time today is a reminder to everyone of how far we’ve come as a company in such a short space of time and the ambition and innovation of our people who have helped create that success.”

Around 3,000 of the company’s employees, their families and friends, supported by more than 70 volunteers, joined the company’s executive team to see the privileged collection while enjoying a day of P1 hypercar ‘races,’ a children’s car design competition and more.

“It’s thanks to them that we have been able to achieve so much, so quickly and launch so many amazing cars, over 90 per cent of which are exported around the world,” added Mike. “Our ambition as a company remains stronger than ever and we look forward to adding more amazing drivers’ cars to our range very soon.”

McLaren Automotive, which has been in business for less than a decade, recently built its 20,000th car and plans to launch 14 more models between now and 2025.

The company also plans to hybridise all its cars, using advanced materials to reduce weight and enabling exhilarating performance, as part of its Track25 business plan.
