A legendary night of fun, food  and frolic has returned at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain, much to the excitement of citizens and residents.

The outdoor-themed dining experience Gulf Night Out is a feast for the senses with multiple live stations, traditional buffet spreads, scrumptious desserts and to top it all off, live entertainment and a chance to win exciting prizes.

“Gulf Night Out is an event we do two times a year – in the spring and autumn season,” food and beverage director Sunuj S Deen told the Gulf Weekly.

“The highlights of Gulf Night Out are great food, which Gulf Hotel is known for, and good music, courtesy of our in-house Cuban band QBA. We’ve also got Al Rayyash Entertainment and we have our belly dancer performing.

“So it’s a mix of great entertainment, great food and great vibes – whether it’s a corporate team building event, family dinner or friends’ night out, this is an event to be.”

Known for its food and beverage history, Gulf Hotel’s annual event is one where the hotel can proudly boast its strengths and showcase it in all its glory.

The massively successful event has been made possible thanks to Executive Chef Carlo, Operations Chef Darius and Executive Pastry Chef Daniel, who have joined hands to ensure it stays true to its legacy.

Chef Carlo, who is responsible for planning, organising and co-ordinating the kitchen for the event, said the hotel decided on the buffet spread by selecting ‘the most loved and popular dishes from the hotel’s restaurants over the last year’ and ensuring they were recreated to exceed everyone’s expectations.

“Each year we try to modernise the spread and include a few more favourites while doing our best to keep up with regional trends,” he said.

About 60 chefs and 20 members of staff for serving in addition to a large logistics team within the hotel helped build the entire event set-up.

As a chef, Carlo feels what makes Gulf Night Out successful is the wide range of regional and international cuisine, not to mention the highly regarded ‘Gulf Hotel’ food quality. The general ambience of the event combined with the brilliant live entertainment performances add to the appeal, he continued.

Sunuj explained that each restaurant at the Gulf Hotel is headed by a regional chef – the Chinese restaurant has a Chinese chef, the Thai restaurant has a Thai chef, the Mexican restaurant has a Mexican chef and all of them bring their elements and their best dishes out to promote them.

“When you speak about China Garden, you think of Peking Duck, when you think of Sato, it’s sushi, we also have the taco station from Margherita Mexicana and of course, the most famous is the Gulf Hotel barbeque, which is the Bahraini barbeque - usually our busiest station where we are showcasing the famous Gulf Hotel tikka,” Sunuj added.

“So you can go to all the restaurants, but you can also come to Gulf Night Out and have the best of all restaurants! That’s the idea of Gulf Night Out.”

The Gulf Hotel Bahrain is home to 10 award-winning restaurants – Al Waha, China Garden, La Pergola, Margherita Mexicana, Rasoi by Vineet, Royal Thai, Takht Jamsheed, Sato, Zahle and Fusions by Tala.

Gulf Night Out will continue on November 15 and 22 at the hotel’s gorgeous gardens and is the ideal opportunity to make the most of the cooler weather that Bahrain has been enjoying.

The buffet costs BD19 per head and BD17 for Prestige Club members, exclusive of tax, while a special rate of BD15 net is available on Ladies Nights.
