BIG man Busta Rhymes is making people clap with excitement, with the drop of his five-track EP featuring a number of hip-hop legends and that old school vibe.

The ‘Touch It’ American rapper, whose real name is Trevor George Smith Jr, was always a force to be reckoned with when it came to his spit fire, lyrical rhymes and raga-infused beats.

Busta busted into the music scene in the 90s and made his magic come to life with his massive hit single Woo-Ha! Got You All in Check. He then topped charts with his albums while also pursuing roles in film and television. His last music release was in 2020 with the Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God…and now he is back with The Fuse is Lit EP, released on November 18.

According to Busta’s Instagram account, the EP was pushed back originally after the passing of Migo’s Takeoff. He also shared his condolences and the new release date.

“I just want to start this off by saying, let us all collectively send love and light to our brother Takeoff,” said Busta. “Sending love and light to his beautiful family. Sending love and light to our brothers Quavo and Offset. The Quality Control family, P and Coach K Family and friends affected directly and indirectly by this tragedy.

“I have decided to push back the release date of my EP, The Fuse is Lit, to November 18. Let us all send our love and beautiful energy to our bothers, the Migos and Quality Control and their beautiful families. Salute.”

His EP boasts some of the greats in hip-hop history with guest appearances and production from Big Daddy Kane, Marley Marl and Swizz Beatz. The EP’s promotional single and music video Slap also features Big Daddy Kane and Conway The Machine and is said to be an ode to hip-hop and New York City’s golden age. It just goes to show, Busta still knows what people want and he will surely make them break their necks.
