Bahraini author Mohammed G Darwish is wrapping up his enchanting Titanlord series with the third book chronicling the heroic journey of Griffyn Haikrou.

The 30-year-old author, known better as MG Darwish or just ‘Darwish’, has just released Child of Prophecy and he considers it to be ‘one of the most special’ books he has written.

“It feels surreal to be releasing the final part of the trilogy and I hope the ending, which was hinted at in the first book Of Death & Sacrifice, lives up to people’s expectations,” Darwish told GulfWeekly.

“There is also a special surprise in this one for my loyal readers on the dedication page, but I won’t say any more right now – you’ll have to read the book to find out.”

In Child of Prophecy, after fighting his way through gods and monsters, friends and foes, lies and truths, the protagonist has sacrificed everything for a chance to stop the prophecy that threatens to destroy humanity.

However, his journey is not over yet - the sky has turned red, and the hour of reckoning has come and he must face his ultimate enemy: himself.

The entire series took Darwish approximately five years to write and along the way, he gained an appreciation for some of his favourite writers like George R R Martin and their process.

“I have grown to appreciate the process of how a story is told over multiple books and the effort that goes into it,” he explained.

“Details must flow as well as the narrative, and so it gets progressively more difficult.”

For reference, George RR Martin has taken more than 12 years at this point since the fifth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, which served as the inspiration for the seven-season Game of Thrones TV show. There is no firm release date for the sixth book The Winds of Winter.

For Darwish, the journey, albeit shorter, has been just as arduous as he brought Griffyn’s tale to an apt ending.

“Child of Prophecy is the culmination of everything that’s come before it, and I’m excited for readers to experience the epic conclusion to Griffyn’s journey,” he added.

“I hope readers will be satisfied with the ending of the series. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this book, and I’ve done my best to give readers an unforgettable reading experience.

“I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this series, and I hope that Child of Prophecy lives up to their expectations.”

In total, according to his Goodreads page, Darwish has published 13 works, including a prequel to the Titanlord trilogy – The Weeping Titan.

He has been nominated for several awards, including the Contemporary Read Awards 2016, Watty Awards for Hidden Gems 2016, the Wattpad for Best Story of the Year 2017, and the Online Book Club and Awesome Indie Book Awards for Book of the Year 2019. Fortier: The Long Night and the first Titanlord novel broke into the Top 50 and Top 100 charts on Amazon, respectively.

His book The Long Night: Blood Will Be Served also won second place in TCK Publishing’s 2020 Readers Choice Awards.

Titanlord: Child of Prophecy is now available on Amazon in Kindle and paperback formats. Visit mgdarwish.com for details.
