Also starring Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, and Gael García Bernal, the movie centres on a former assassin coming out of hiding to protect the estranged daughter she left behind, when fleeing from dangerous assailants.
Directed by Niki Caro, reports indicate that the project has been inspired by the 1994 Luc Besson movie The Professional.
The film was initially set to be shot in Vancouver, but after a Covid-19 variant outbreak, the shooting was suspended, before being moved to the Spanish island of Gran Canaria.
