Ambitious author Armaan Bin Awaz proves that age is nothing but a number as he publishes two books at 10, penning his philosophies and poetry for other youngsters to ponder over, writes Mai Al-Khatib Camille.

His 47-page-book, entitled The Power of Confidence, aims “to aid other children and teenagers on how to achieve success”, while his 26-page poetry collection, Armaan Nature Sonatas Volume 1 - from a Young Mind, highlights his love for nature and all that it encapsulates.

“I love nature and what it holds,” the Bhavans Bahrain Indian School student from Muharraq told GulfWeekly.

“I also believe in children’s fundamental rights to think outside the box and achieve the voyage one desires.”

Asked about the inspiration for his book, he said, “I write poems to convey the feelings in my heart. I had interviewed many students about their desires and their answers and my love for nature and poetry inspired me to write Armaan Nature Sonatas Volume 1.

“I want to encourage youth to commit and grow with desire and I believe nature is the cure.

“I dedicate my book to the youth.”

Armaan started writing from a young age and recalls the joy he felt going to the library with his 40-year-old father Awaz Bin Abid, a trade marketing manager.

“It encouraged me to become creative,” said the young boy who has also written articles on GDNLife.

“In Grade 2, I had a notebook where I would pen stories of fantasy and sci-fi. Teachers praised me, but I was in no rush to publish my fables. Then in Grade 4, during my summer vacation, my father bought me a Kindle. I could only read philosophy books as they were the only ones available for me to download at no cost.

“I loved the teachings and discovered what life held. In Grade 5, I observed the youth around me and it inspired me to pen my thoughts.”

Armaan claims to have found inspiration in Dale Carnegie, an American writer and lecturer who was known for his self-improvement courses and public speaking.

“Carnegie’s technique to success was commitment and positivity,” he said. “I am also committed to changing youngsters’ way of thinking, and to spreading positivity,” he said. “Also, I love creative writing as it feels magical and more powerful than communication.”

His dreams for the future include becoming an author and getting accepted into Harvard University or Yale. He also hopes to achieve a Masters in business, philosophy and science.

“I hope to be a pioneer in these fields,” explained the stamp, currency and coin collector, who also plays the piano, puts together scrapbooks, journals and builds Legos.

“I will send my application to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a photographer and to be a scientist as well.”

In the meantime, he plans to write books, articles, journals and research papers.

“I hope to get a PhD and start a company based on trade and invest in Crypto, while also caring for the environment,” he said.

“My next aim though, is to see my books becoming bestsellers, and win the Nobel Prize.”

His father and mum, Natasha Awaz, a 32-year-old entrepreneur of Armani Fashions, are proud of his dedication and commitment.
