ACTRESS Morena Baccarin, renowned for her iconic character Vanessa Carlysle in the Deadpool series, has put anxious

fans at ease as she announced her return to Deadpool 3.

The American superhero film is based on Marvel Comic’s most unconventional anti-hero, and tells the story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, played by Ryan Reynolds.

After Wade was subjected to a rogue experiment, that leaves him with unnatural healing powers, he begins his transformation and adopts the alter ego, Deadpool.

Vanessa (Morena) was unexpectedly killed in Deadpool 2 in a controversial twist, leaving fans shocked as she was the sole purpose of advancing Ryan’s character Wade.

Back in April, there were rumours that Morena would join the cast of Deadpool 3 – but was never actually confirmed until now.

During an interview with ComicBookMovie.com, Moreno teased that it was high time for Vanessa to take on a more active role.

“I finished my shooting days on it already, I think filming is back on again after the strike, and I think it’s going to be quite good,” Morena said, adding that she thinks fans will be in for a fun surprise.

Morena admitted that challenges await her in her return, as a multitude of characters and storylines have been introduced since she left.

However, she hinted that fans could see a different facet of her character that would evolve and find its place in the new narrative.

Both Deadpool films were produced by Marvel entertainment, Kinberg Genre, The Donner’s Company and TSG Entertainment and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
