Young talent Kaashvi Subin Jagdish has released her debut book of poems, which was unveiled at the recent India in Bahrain Festival.
The book was released by Embassy Second Secretary Ihjas Aslam CS at the event held at the Indian embassy.
Published by PadmaSree Books, India, Heartstrings features 51 poems divided into three sections – love, loss and pain.
“I was always interested in music and rhymes, so poems seemed very fascinating to me,” the 10th grader studying at Bahrain Indian School told GulfWeekly.
“Somewhere along the way, reading poems turned into a love for writing them.”
Kaashvi hails from Kannur in Kerala. Born in Kuwait in 2009 to Jisha Kaniyankandi and Subin Jagdish, she moved to Bahrain in 2020.
“The collection of poems has varied emotions that I have felt throughout my life, watching people and through personal experiences,” the avid reader and art enthusiast added.
Heartstrings is available at The Bookmart in Dana Mall and soon on Amazon.
