The popular American television series Abbott Elementary is coming back with its highly-awaited fourth season.
The news was announced at the Television Critics Association’s Winter 2024 press tour by William Davis on February 7, who earned a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor at the 54th NAACP Image Awards for his role on the show as the beloved custodian, Mr Johnson.
Created by Quinta Brunson, the sitcom show follows a group of dedicated teachers who work in an underfunded and mismanaged school in Philadelphia. Though their job becomes more difficult due to limited resources, the teachers are determined to help their students succeed in life.
The show’s cast consists of Tyler Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Davis and Sheryl Ralph.
The series premiered on December 7, 2021, and has since been nominated for 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning four, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. It has also won three Golden Globe Awards.
