BRITISH mythological dark-comedy show Kaos is out now on Netflix.
Created by Charlie Covell, the series, set in the modern day, revolves around an insecure Zeus who, fearing the end of his reign, becomes paranoid and vengeful.
Meanwhile, three humans discover their connection with each other and a long-standing ancient prophecy, as they deal with corrupt and arrogant gods of classical folklore.
The contemporary twist on Greek mythology stars Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, Janet McTeer as Hera, Zeus’ wife, and Nabhaan Rizwan as his favourite son Dionysus.
“My character is complicated and charismatic, not to mention cruel,” Jeff said in an interview.
“Charlie Covell’s writing leapt off the page and struck my gizzard like a lightning bolt as something spectacularly smart, surprising, unexpected, profound, and deeply moving,” he added, describing what is expected to be his harsh-yet-stylish portrayal of Zeus.
“The more you watch the series, hopefully, the more scared you will get, because you realise his power and what he can do, and it’s just so fantastic,” Janet added.
