Taste the best of Goa at Bandra fair

A festival will be launched this weekend offering visitors the chance to try traditional delicacies from Goa.

The Bandra Fair, organised by the Young Goans Club, is being held as part of the 25th anniversary of World Goa Day, on Friday, at the Olive Hotel in Juffair.

Starting at 1pm, the event will feature a children’s costume parade, ballroom dance, food stalls, games, traditional musical performances and Goan dishes.

Pioneer of Konkani pop music O’Luv Rodriguez is also being flown in from Goa to stage a performance at the event.

Chief guests include Indian legislator Vijay Sardesai and Goa Industrial Development Corporation chairman Aleixo Lourenco, as well as businessman Prashant Korgaonkar.

Entry is 500 fils, which can be redeemed at the games stalls. Free parking is available throughout the day and table reservations can be made in advance.
