A trip to honour adventurers

NOT much is known about Bonifacius Rotarius of Asti, except that he was held captive in the Middle East and, probably through the paying of a ransom, was eventually able to return to his home near Turin. Perhaps nothing would be known of him at all, were it not for the fact that in honouring a promise made in confinement, Bonifacius made the first ever recorded and undisputed ascent of a mountain peak.

Getting in the swing

It is logical to think that the closer your ball is to the green, the easier the approach shot should be. However, it is often the case that it is easier to control the distance of a full wedge shot than it is to control the distance of a ‘half’ wedge shot. One of the main difficulties with these shots is they require a shorter swing and a lot more feel than a full wedge shot. In order to achieve consistency with these ‘in between’ shots, it is important that you practice three different swing lengths that result in different yardages.

The Toyota Camry is undoubtedly one of the most popular marques in the kingdom. Many people see it as a sensible ride, perhaps not the most exciting but definitely a safe and durable vehicle.  When I first learned I would be taking one out for a test drive I thought ‘hmmm been there, done that’ and I didn’t really think much of it. However, the minute I shifted into drive, all that changed and I realised why Camry is known for being one of the best-selling cars in Bahrain.

Alien ‘turf’ wars!

I DO enjoy a good sci-fi flick, I’m not a Star Trek nerd or anything – I don’t go to conventions or wear homemade costumes – I just like the idea that humans may not be the only sentient beings in the universe.
