SEARCHING FOR AN IDENTITY

I’ve never known what I’ve wanted to be. I guess that isn’t such a bold statement, when you’re only 17-years-old and still have ‘the rest of your life’ ahead of you. But are people aware of the level of irony in that statement? Sure, I guess I literally have the majority of my life ahead of me, but isn’t there also a common push for “making the right decisions now” so that you can “enjoy the fruits of your labour later”?

Rape; what an ironic word this is - happens far too often and is spoken far too less. After all, wouldn’t uttering this word deeply stain the white flag of perfection that our society likes to carry? Isn’t it uncomfortable to talk about it?

Batelco CEO Mikkel Vinter, along with Shaikh Bader Al Khalifa, the telecom’s general manager of Corporate Communications & CSR, congratulated Batelco employee Rana Alalawi on her completion of the Ironman 70.3 Championship. The championship was held recently in Nice, France.
