Wednesday (Nov 12)A fundraising dinner and charity auction will be held at the Senor Pacos Restaurant, Adliya, at 7.30pm for 8pm. Organised by charity worker Vicky Honar it will help raise funds for 'Cycle Cuba' - a cycle challenge in aid of the UK-based charity Women for Women which raises funds for research into women's reproductive health (infertility, pre-maturity, ovarian and breast cancer). Proceeds will also go to Think Pink.
Bahrain's Irish community is hosting its annual 'Bahrain Irish Festival 2008' from November 20 to 22 at the JJ's Irish Restaurant in Adliya. It will feature a ballad session by Decland and Fermanagh, also known as 'Pure Irish Craic'. The event starts at 9pm. For details visit www.bahrainirishsociety.com.
