Crafts bazaar
The Indian Ladies Association (ILA) is holding a crafts bazaar, Suq Al Hind, in November as part of their Golden Jubilee Project.

Play postponed
A drama scheduled to be staged at the Pakistan Club has been postponed to the end of next month. Thaayambaka, a hit drama is to be staged by 4YES Drama Theatres in association with Asianet Bahrain. For more information, call on 39842208 or 39265839.

Cultural conference
The Bahrain Kannada Sangha is organising the Vishwa Kannada Samskriti Sammelana (World Kannada Cultural Conference), which will be held at the Al Raja School on December 15 and 16. The conference will feature 30-strong delegation of artists, writers and poets from Karnataka, India.
State Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, has been invited to open the event. Noted Kannada actor Ramesh and singer and actor Ravi Shankar will entertain the audience on the second day.
An exhibition which will highlight the state’s culture, history, traditions, health, major industries and education facilities, will also be held.

Sounds like Goa
Bahrain-based Indian writer and composer Pio Fernandes is to stage a concert on November 30 at the Baan Saeng Thai Restaurant, Adliya. Artists from Goa, India, and other neighbouring GCC countries will fly in to sing his latest compositions.
