The price of building

It seems that the soaring price of building materials is making it problematic for Bahrain’s construction boom.

Am I missing something here? You can’t rotate on the spot without seeing another new building going up. Landlords are having problems renting out properties because they are going up faster than they can find people to live in them (and yet ironically rental prices are rising) and land is being reclaimed faster than ever.
I’m no builder but to my untrained eye, there is more than enough construction going on and it doesn’t seem to show any signs of abating.
